Munitions Response Project Manager/Engineer, Anniston, AL or Marietta, GA
Matrix Environmental Services, LLC, a subsidiary of Matrix Design Group, is looking for an experienced Project Manager/Engineer for munitions and explosives of concern (MEC) and small arms range investigation and remediation projects to join our team of professionals. The successful candidate should have MEC investigation and remediation experience and very strong technical and writing abilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and provide technical support on tasks related to munitions response and small arms/lead remediation.
- Develop project scopes, schedules and budgets.
- Develop plans compliant with state and federal/DoD regulations.
- Manage and direct field technicians and remediation contractors.
- Interact with team in the local office, as well as regional and firm-wide staff.
- Ensure quality of work products, compliance with contractual terms consistency across projects, ensure safety of staff, and coordinate with contractors and internal support staff.
- Strong organizational and planning skills are required.
- Participate, and lead as necessary, in meetings and calls to our clients and regulators.
- Prepare reports and progress reports.
- Assist in the preparation and review of technical and cost proposals related to munitions response projects.
- Lead and support the implementation of safety plans.
- Some (25%) travel required, potentially including AL, GA, TX, and CO.
Qualifications
B.S. in Engineering or related field, Master's preferred
Professional Registration
Ability to get professional registration in AL or TX.
Experience
8-20 years environmental industry experience
5 years of munitions-response-related experience
Expertise with multiple MEC-related remediation technologies
Location
Marietta, GA or Anniston, AL
