Stapleton Transportation Design
Matrix has been working for the Park Creek Metropolitan District since the Stapleton Redevelopment kicked off in 1999. At completion, the Metro District will have invested more than $800 million dollars in new roadway and utility infrastructure to support 4700 acres of master planned communities.
Matrix provided overall infrastructure planning and programming consulting services to the City and County of Denver, Park Creek Metro District, and Forest City Stapleton, Inc. for all master planned improvements, in addition to engineering design services for the following roadway and bridge projects:
- Martin Luther King Boulevard
- Havana Street
- 26th Avenue
- 26th Avenue Bridge over Westerly Creek
- 29th Avenue
- 35th Avenue
- 49th Avenue
- Spruce Street
- Central Park Boulevard Bridge over Sand Creek and UPRR
Transit, bike, and pedestrian connections to parks, open space, neighborhoods, and employment centers were central to the design fabric of all Stapleton related improvements.
