Geographic Information Systems

Matrix provides a variety of GIS services to support projects of all sizes and types. Matrix's GIS staff specializes in creative geospatial applications ranging from data analysis to custom tool development to high-quality exhibit preparation. We have performed photogrammetric analyses to characterize drainageway stability and created terrain models for watershed analyses, hydrologic modeling and floodplain mapping.

We have also developed a dynamic GIS-based data model to estimate capital costs associated with proposed infrastructure improvements. This method has been proven to greatly increase the efficiency and accuracy when generating cost estimates. A quality GIS platform ultimately leads to more informed decision making throughout a project lifecycle.
