Broncos Stadium District Redevelopment

Matrix performed site engineering, survey, project management, and environmental support for the development of a Metropolitan Football Stadium District surrounding Empower Field at Mile High. This project involved the redevelopment of 55 acres of under-utilized property immediately surrounding Empower Field, the development of several mixed-use, commercial, and residential properties, as well as the redefinition of streets, stadium access, and parking.

The Matrix team is providing the full range of project management services for the ambitious 5-10 year program that will not only enhance the game-day experience but also create a new neighborhood in downtown Denver. Revised zoning and district plans call for the construction of new roadways and enabling infrastructure, approximately 3,000 new structured parking spaces, new access to the stadium building with the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame Museum, as well as approximately 3.5 million square feet of residential mixed-use facilities with open space amenities. Matrix is providing entitlement support, estimating, and forecasting, preliminary and final design, risk assessment, environmental consulting, and the extension of staff services. We are also facilitating all public outreach and engagement efforts. In providing comprehensive services, Matrix will allow the Metropolitan Football Stadium District to move efficiently and affordably from the planning stage through design and construction.
