We have extensive experience developing plans to mitigate risks associated with flooding. Drawing on a variety of modeling software, depending on setting, we develop realistic hydrology values as the first step in the planning process. Inputting hydrology into a robust one-dimensional or two-dimensional hydraulic model begins to identify structures or infrastructure that could be at risk from a suite of flood events. Our team uses robust alternatives analyses to identify different scenarios to mitigate flood risks most effectively, followed by the development of conceptual designs, allowing mitigation projects to be prioritized and integrated into a CIP program. We can also assist with federal grant applications to support both the planning and design of flood mitigation projects. Outcomes lead to healthier, safer, and more resilient communities!
