Matrix is excited to announce the addition of Terri Hogan, AICP, to our Planning Center of Excellence. Terri joins Matrix with 25 years of planning experience and brings a wealth of knowledge in land use and water resource planning, both locally in Arizona and internationally in Australia. Prior to joining Matrix, Terri was the Development Services Deputy Director over Planning for the City of Buckeye, the largest and fastest growing city in Arizona. She managed a staff of 10, as well as consultant-executed projects and projects under the Community Development Block Grant program. She served six years with the Air Force Reserve and is currently an Honorary Commander at Luke Air Force Base. Terri also served as the President and Director-at-Large of the American Planning Association’s (APA) Arizona Chapter from 2017 to 2018 and from 2014 to 2015, respectively, and further founded the chapter’s Women in Planning Group. Her article, “Arizona’s Cool (Planned) Places,” was featured in Planning Magazine, published by the APA.

Terri is a respected, thoughtful leader and was recognized as the City of Buckeye Municipal Employee of the Year for her work on the Imagine Buckeye 2040 General Plan in 2018. The plan was also awarded Best General Plan by the APA in 2019. Matrix is excited to integrate Terri’s expertise, skillset, and work ethic into our services.
